The Guerrilla Lit Reading Series is pleased to announce that our reading scheduled for Wednesday, April 27th will feature Shelley Marlow, Molly Tolsky, and Shya Scanlon.
The reading will occur at BAR on A at 7:30 PM. The event is FREE and open to the public.
Shelley Marlow‘s novels include Lesbians of Arabia and Two Augusts in a Row in a Row. Marlow’s writing is published in the St. Petersburg Review, Zingmagazine, and Girlfriends Magazine. She has exhibited visual and performance work in numerous shows in the US and abroad including the 48th Venice Biennale. Marlow received fellowships from New York State Writers Institute, Summer Literary Seminars and the MacDowell Colony.
Molly Tolsky‘s fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in The Fiddleback, Pindeldyboz, and MAKE Magazine. Her story Gullet was selected by Electric Literature to be featured in the program Selected Shorts, recorded live at Symphony Space and to be aired on NPR. She received her MFA in Fiction from Sarah Lawrence College. Originally from Chicago, she now lives in New York.
Shya Scanlon is the author of the prose poetry collection In This Alone Impulse (Noemi Press, 2009) and the novel Forecast (Flatmancrooked, 2010). He received his MFA from Brown University in 2008, where he won the John Hawkes Prize in Fiction. Opium Magazine named a contest in his honor. He lives in NYC.
The Guerrilla Lit Reading Series hosts readings every last Wednesday of the month at BAR on A in the East Village.
